Free Shipping
No coupon is necessary to receive free shipping on orders that total $35.00 or more BEFORE tax and AFTER coupons/discounts have been applied. You must select the "free shipping" option from the drop-down menu during checkout to receive free shipping. Free shipping for US Customers only.
Refund Policy
Mallard Beads wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not, the Refund Policy is available.
To receive a full refund, you must return the item(s) or entire order in unopened good condition within 30 days of purchase. The address for returns is:

Shipping charges cannot be credited. In the case that you received free shipping, but your return brings your order total below $35.00, a shipping fee will be deducted from your credit.
Returns need to be packaged in sturdy packaging like bubble-padded envelopes or a hard cardboard box. Items that arrive damaged will not be credited. You may want to insure your package against loss or theft and obtain tracking information. Include a copy of your invoice so we know who to credit and how much.
Should you return your full order there will be a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price for the entire order.
Defective items will be accepted after 30 days but no longer than 60 days from purchase.
Items that are not subject to return include: Final Sale (unless defective), Clearance/Sale items, chain, special orders, products cut to size, discontinued items, jewelry kits, patterns, items not in original condition, sets, cut or unspooled wire/stringing materials, and products in The Vault category.

The only exception to this policy is broken, damaged, or defective products. If you send us an item that cannot be refunded, we will dispose of it and not send it back to you.
Missing or Damaged Products
If your package has missing, defective or incorrect items, please contact our customer service division within 5 days of receiving your order so we may make take corrective action (info@mallardbeads.com). We will need your order number, name, address shipped, and your contact information. Please provide a brief description of what is missing, defective or incorrect in the email. This helps us identify you and your order. Feel free to attach photos of your invoice and the defective item. It’s very helpful in the resolution process. We will address your email promptly and begin the resolution process.
Our inventory is warehouse based as we do not have a brick-and-mortar store. All replacements must be verified with the warehouse to determine what is in stock. All out of stock items will receive a refund.
Some stock is actually hand counted and there are times when this means the count may be off. In this case, we will refund the missing bead(s) to a store credit. Shipping a single bead is not always possible or even feasible.
Lost or Stolen Packages
Mallard Beads takes all appropriate steps to facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of your order.
There are times when a package does not reach its destination. No replacement order will be sent once the carrier confirms delivery of the package. Missing package claims should be handled directly by the carrier and/or the local police department.
If you have not received your package and the carrier has not confirmed delivery, please contact us for information regarding a replacement package. For international orders, we suggest checking with your local Customs office to inquire about your order.
Mallard Beads is not responsible if your order was not received because shipping information provided during checkout was incorrect. If an order is returned to our warehouse due to incorrect shipping information, we will notify you for further instructions. If our shipping system does not recognize your address, we will reach out to you by email to confirm that your address is correct. If we do not hear back within 24 hours your order will ship to the address as written.
We want you to be happy with your purchase; however, Mallard Beads is not responsible for lost or stolen packages, particularly when delivery is confirmed by the postal carrier.

Out of Stock Products
There are times when high demand items are backordered from our vendors, and sometimes our website accidentally allows us to oversell those items. We’ve been good at updating the website but sometimes something can be overlooked. If we are out of an item, we will email you to let you know, and your payment account will be credited within 2-3 business days. Your order will ship without the missing item(s). If we are missing part of an ordered quantity, you will have the option of refunding for the missing item(s) or to remove and refund all the items. If we do not hear back from you within two days, we will ship what we have and refund what’s missing.
When items in a Collection are shown as 'out of stock' this only means that the available stock of this item is reserved for that Collection and cannot be purchased separately. If the item is listed, it will be included in the full Collection.
Order Fulfillment Times
Please allow up to 2 business days’ time for filling and shipping orders. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm EST. The office is closed on holidays. Holidays may extend order fulfillment times. Mallard Beads makes every effort to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

Mallard Beads is currently warehouse based. We do not have a traditional brick-and-mortar store. Our warehouse is not open to the public.
Coupon Codes
Mallard Beads does not accept coupons from any other site or manufacturer. Our free shipping coupon is automatic at check out with a $35.00 in products order. Our coupon codes are restricted to one coupon per order. No coupon stacking. You can have a coupon and free shipping. Free shipping is not considered a coupon. Expiration dates are absolute unless we extend a promotion.
If you forget to add your coupon code at checkout, please email us at info@mallardbeads.com prior to shipment. Our $35.00 free shipping policy still applies and with the coupon your order must be at least $35.00 or more prior to tax and after a coupon or other sales.
The Vault
The Vault is a collection of items we have acquired over the years, recent overstocks, discontinued items, or one-of-a-kind items. Sometimes we feature limited editions from new artists. Most are in new, uncirculated condition. Some are reimagined pieces that have a new appearance (you’d never know they were reimagined). They are upcycled items our artists have taken to another level.
The Vault has been very popular due to the eclectic array of products. They also tend to sell quickly. We will notify you if the item is reimagined.
Vault items cannot be returned. They are carefully inspected before they are packed and shipped. These are Final Sales.
Order Processing & Cancelation
Our website is based on a warehouse fulfillment system. It models the fulfillment systems of major online-only sellers and national brick-and-mortar stores. As such our order processing and cancellation policies are very similar.
Once you place your order, it is sent directly from our site to our warehouse. It’s seamless and speedy. You cannot combine two or more orders, or even add items to your order, once the order is placed. This would require an interruption of the process that would also impact the rest of the orders in the que. Thank you for your understanding.
If you want to cancel your order, you need to email us immediately. We can only cancel your order within 12 hours after it has been placed. Our email is info@mallardbeads.com.
Order Shipping & Shipping Options/Charges
The USPS is our primary carrier. On October 1, 2021, the USPS implemented their revised service standards and target delivery times. This has increased delivery times on average, with an additional day or two in some cases. Our Free Shipping and Economy Shipping options are delivered by the USPS and these new changes may lead to increased transit times. International orders can be delayed up to 60 days (possibly more) to arrive due to interruptions at customs and the war in Ukraine.
All US orders over $35.00 product after all discounts and before tax, qualify for Free Shipping except for Puerto Rico and Guam. You will be provided with several options for shipping. If you would like free shipping, please choose this option. We are not able to refund your shipping if you chose a paid shipping option even if your order qualified for Free Shipping.
Mallard Beads warehouse packs all orders as they arrive and places them with the USPS or the carrier you selected when you placed your order. We do not have a money back guarantee if any of the carriers do not deliver on the time frame the selected service guarantees. Your only remedy would be to contact that carrier directly to process a complaint and refund.
USPS strives to deliver Priority Mail within 1-4 business days. This time frame does not have a money back guarantee so, unfortunately, we cannot refund your shipping if your item was delayed by the carrier. The only USPS service that does come with a money back guarantee is Priority Mail Express Overnight.
Sales & VAT Tax
Mallard Beads collects sales tax from orders shipped within Maryland and Idaho due to having a physical presence in both states. All orders shipped outside of Maryland and Idaho are not subject to sales tax at this time. You may still owe sales tax on your
purchase even if we don’t collect it from you. The tax may be reported and paid on your individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return. You are advised to consult with your state’s department of revenue website. (Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon do not have sales tax currently).
We do not collect VAT tax from European (EU) purchasers where VAT is required. Purchasers are responsible for VAT taxes and any customs taxes their country may levy on purchases entering their country.
All international orders may be subject to customs fees or taxes. These are separate from shipping charges and are not the responsibility of Mallard Beads. Customs fees and taxes will vary depending on location. Contact your local Customs office if you have any questions or concerns about these fees.
The European Union (EU) is implementing new customs rules for online purchases made from outside the EU. From July 1, 2021, Value-Add Tax (VAT) will be charged on all commercial goods imported into the EU, regardless of value. This effectively ends the EUR €22 exemption that was used in the past.
Coupons
Only one coupon can be used per order. Most of our coupons have a 30-day expiration. Coupon Codes are provided in our promotions. If a code doesn’t work on check out, please verify you have put it in correctly. Our codes will only work if they are input exactly as they appear in the promotion. For example, ‘BICONES15’ must be input just like that with the capitalization and numbers in that order. If you do that and it still doesn’t work? Email us at info@mallardbeads.com as soon as you place your order. We will process the discount. Expired coupons will not be honored and the system will reject them at checkout.
Countries We Ship To & Products Shipped
We ship to most parts of the world where the USPS delivers. If the USPS does not deliver in your country, you will need to select a carrier that does deliver to your country. We will not be able to guarantee delivery to countries impacted by war or engaged in sanctions where delivery is not possible (or even greatly delayed).

Many countries do not allow some products to be imported. Glue is a good example. You are advised to determine what products your country will not allow to be imported and not order them. Our warehouse is not responsible for making this determination. They will adhere to the restrictions of delivery carriers.
California P65
If you have concerns about the safety of any of our products and you reside in the State of California, please go to the P65 Warnings website www.P65Warings.ca.gov.
This website provides guidance on chemicals and who is exempt. We are providing California P65 in good faith for California residents to research and make their own decisions. We believe we fall under the business exemption due to our size and what we sell.
Mallard Beads does not knowingly stock products that have the potential for clear and present harm outside of your own personal misuse. We screen our vendors for lead, cadmium, phthalates and excessive nickel in their products (typical additives for jewelry and DIY jewelry parts). We will not stock any product where the vendor has given us a P65 Warning.
